Logan's Visit

Jack's friend Logan came up with us in June.

They had a fabulous time at Adventure Island...as you can see!

We went to see the local ski show and the boys decided they want to grow up to be skiers!

A Cousins Weekend

In June Lola said bye-bye to her siblings for a weekend.

Aunt Lis had built her Lumberjack Lounge for the kids to camp out in.

The kids got to sleep in the tent. I was surprised they stayed out there all night without an adult. Isa said she was so scared she couldn't leave the tent all night.

We spent 10 hours a day on the pontoon boat.

The kids flipped off and had a ball at Adventure Island.

Isa enjoyed driving the boat!

They taught Abby how to climb the ladder so she could rest.

They played tag and Abby was thrilled to be IT all the time. She was just happy to be part of the gang!

The Creation of Our Way

Last summer we built the road. In May we started clearing the spot for the new cabin down by the water. We set the bench in the "Sunroom" and enjoyed the future view.

We made more log piles and burned more brush.

The Dock Goes In

We put the dock in April.




The water was a bit nippy.








Abby just couldn't wait to get in!






Jack went fishing on his own and caught 3 fish!





Jeff taught him how to make dinner.

Jeff recruited his mom to help him plant more apple trees.
It was a fun first spring weekend! We know the dock is just sitting there waiting for us to come back!

New Year 2007

With Den, TC, Kate and Sean

Den, TC, Kate and Sean came up to the cabin in December.
We celebrated 2006 and welcomed 2007.
It was beautiful outside and we had a great time!!!

We went in search of a sledding hill.

And we found one!
Kate had so much fun


she lost her socks!



Jack practiced snowboarding. Soon he'll be begging us to spend the winter with Uncle John and Aunt Christina in Idaho!

It was a beautiful day to spend with wonderful friends!

Less Than a Handful

Of Days In the Northwoods!
A few of the girls from school came up for a weekend. It nearly killed me. We had so much fun I could hardly stand it...in fact I could hardly stand. We slept in the morning, soaked up the sun in the afternoon, and scoped out the night life all night. It was a great weekend!

Bridget met a nice boy from Minnesota.
Shelley traded in her golf clubs for a pool cue and dart flights.

4th of July

We had a great time for the 4th of July weekend! We rented a jet ski but all Kate wanted to do was fish. She had a brand new fishing pole with a bright orange fish that she caught everytime! She also got this nice bluegill with some assistance from the big hand in the foreground.

You can also see Jack's cast. It didn't slow him down at all and eventually had to be duct taped to stay together. He LOVED driving the jet ski all by himself and Jeff was even brave enough to tube behind him. Yes, that's Jeff on the tube!
